About Us

Forge Your Future (FYF) is a nonprofit organization

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides free application support and guidance to high school students aspiring to attend a U.S. service academy or ROTC program.

Our goal is to guide students toward admission into the best ROTC program or service academy for them, while empowering each individual to make confident, informed decisions about their future in leadership and service.

Our Roots

FYF was founded in 2024 by Hersh Rai and Mateo Ronquillo – two Navy veterans and service academy graduates who believe that high school students should have access to personalized mentorship and the resources necessary to succeed. They envisioned a program where students, regardless of their background, could receive tailored guidance on navigating the competitive application processes for ROTC programs and service academies, while also being exposed to opportunities that foster leadership, resilience, and a commitment to service. Both being immigrants from India and Peru respectively, they decided to serve a higher purpose and give back to the United States, a country that had given them and their families an opportunity for a better life.

Our focus is to support high school students in gaining admission to the service academy or ROTC program of their choice and building a community of fellows who are driven to lead and serve. By connecting students with experienced mentors and providing structured assistance with applications, essays, and interviews, we aim to ensure they have the best chance at success. We are excited about your journey and look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
